More than 10,000 Nittany Lion fans poured into the LA Live complex in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon for the official Penn State pep rally ahead of Monday’s Rose Bowl matchup with USC.
In addition to appearances by the Nittany Lion, Penn State Cheerleaders and Blue Band, Nittany Lion greats Ki-Jana Carter and Michael Mauti were among the guest speakers at the rally, along with Penn State President Eric Barron, Athletic Director Sandy Barbour, Alumni and Association Executive Director Paul Clifford, among others.
Coach James Franklin addressed the crowd surrounded by Penn State players, and the afternoon concluded with the singing of the Penn State Alma Mater.

Penn State and USC kick off at 5 p.m. EST Monday in ‘The Granddaddy of Them All.’ The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
