The Penn State Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon will host its second annual Mr. and Mrs. THON Pageant on Wednesday evening, the organization announced.
It’s scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Eisenhower Auditorium. There, 14 pairs of THON captains will compete for the titles of Mr. and Mrs. THON.
Contestants are expected to show off personal talents and THON gear. The event also will feature a Four Diamonds Fund family who has benefited from THON. In addition, the Overall Committee is slated to perform.
Last year’s Mr. and Mrs. THON, Dave Belliveau and Jony Rommel, will host the pageant. The doors will open at 7 p.m., and tickets will be available for $4 apiece, according to a news release.
THON, identified as the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, benefits pediatric-cancer patients and research via the Four Diamonds Fund. The 46-hour dance marathon in 2011 will be held from Feb. 18 to Feb. 20.
