Happy Friday, Happy Valley!

As you get ready for the holiday season, get started on your shopping by supporting local shops at Small Business Saturday, the BEA Craft and Gift Fair and Milesburg’s Hometown Christmas. Participate in some Christmas-themed family activities, and check out a few Nittany Lion teams in action

This isn’t all that’s happening, either. There is plenty more around the area for you to enjoy and you can find it all on our calendar page. Explore the weekend’s events and add your own if it isn’t listed. Or see our Bar Tour and Movies pages for more options this weekend or anytime.

Penn State Sports
– Warm up in Rec Hall as the No. 7 Penn State women’s volleyball team closes out the regular season with a pair of matches against fellow top 10 opponents. The Nittany Lions face No. 3 Minnesota on Friday and No. 8 Wisconsin on Saturday, both at 8 p.m.

– The No. 12 Nittany Lion football team hosts Maryland for Senior Day at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Beaver Stadium. Several local teachers also will be honored for Educator Appreciation Day. Grass lots around the stadium will be closed, so be sure to check out important parking info here.
