State College Area School District: All Schools on a Two Hour Delay

State College schools will open two hours late this morning because of the weather. An icy mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain fell overnight, the result of a dangerous winter storm. Treacherous conditions were common on area roads. The weather forced the State College Area School District to close all schools on Monday.

The National Weather Service has cancelled a Winter Storm Warning. However, a Winter Weather Advisory remained in effect until 8:00 a.m. Tuesday because of occasional freezing rain. For the latest weather updates be sure to check the AccuWeather forecast posted on the StateCollege.com home page.
