Sketch artist details courtroom emotion leading to Sandusky trial

Despite dozens of news cameras set up outside the Centre County courthouse, only one visual perspective is allowed be recorded during the jury selection and trial for Jerry Sandusky.

Art Lien is currently the only sketch artist working the Sandusky case through his contract with NBC News, which is sharing the illustrations with affiliates across the country, including WJAC-TV.

“On Monday it will be opening statements and of course the first witness and the defendant’s reaction to the witnesses’ testimony,” said Lien. “That will be very important. (courtroom sketching) is a dying art.”
