Joe Sestak, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, will appear for a rally from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Saturday at Penn State University Park, the Centre County Democratic organization announced Thursday.
Sestak will appear at the front steps of Old Main, according to the announcement.
Tickets will not be required for the public event, the announcement says. But organizers are asking attendees to pre-register.
Earlier this week, the Centre County GOP announced that a rally for Sestak’s Republican rival, Pat Toomey, and Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Corbett will be held next week at the HUB-Robeson Center. An updated announcement about that gathering indicates it will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday in room 129. Both Corbett and Toomey are expected to attend.
In addition, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Dan Onorato is expected to attend a Penn State forum event Monday at University Park. Information about that event is in a report that’s linked below.
StateCollege.com will post more details about these events as more information becomes available.
