Centre County officials told 6News on Wednesday that Jerry Sandusky has been placed on suicide watch in solitary confinement, 24 hours after a judge sentenced him to serve 30-60 years in a state prison.
County Administrator Tim Boyde said the court costs, security and other expenses connected to Sandusky’s case was at $95,000, not including Tuesday’s sentencing.
Pennsylvania’s public employee pension system has moved to revoke Jerry Sandusky’s pension after his conviction and sentence in the child sexual abuse scandal.
The State Employees’ Retirement System notified Sandusky by letter Wednesday that his crimes triggered forfeiture of his pension.
Sandusky’s lawyer said ahead of the notification that Sandusky would fight any attempt to revoke his pension.
