Sandusky investigation update

 Even though Jerry Sandusky is serving a lengthy prison term, the Sandusky investigation is not closed—according to the State Police Commissioner.

Sandusky could be behind bars for the rest of his life, convicted last June on multiple child sex abuse charges. There were ten victims in the trial.

Penn State says it’s negotiating with up to 30 reported victims for settlements, and there are recent reports of more coming forward in recent months.

Frank Noonan, State Police Commissioner says, “It’s still an open case. We still have troopers on the Sandusky case, but the direction of the case is up to the Attorney General’s office– that remains in charge of the Sandusky investigation.”

Also ongoing is the Attorney General’s review of how the original Sandusky investigation was conducted. There’s no timetable on how long it will take to complete that review.
