Sandusky goes on-camera to confront allegations

Jerry Sandusky is speaking out once again, and denying any involvement with the eight victims listed in the Grand Jury report.

While his attorney and the prosecution are gearing up for his preliminary hearing, Sandusky is speaking with the New York Times, and said he acted with appropriate behavior.

The former Penn State coach is speaking up again and recounting what led to the accusations against him. The New York Times met Sandusky with questions like where the allegations came from and if he thought he was doing anything wrong.

“In my mind wasn’t inappropriate behavior. I said if you want, you can speak to the young person involved,” Sandusky said.

He even recalled his conversation with former athletic director, Tim Curley. He was concerned about Sandusky’s time spent with the boys, and the eye witness account that put this sexual abuse case in the national spotlight.

“He was coming to me with a concern and I guess somebody had talked to him about inappropriate behavior in the shower. I told him that it didn’t happen and it was in my mind wasn’t inappropriate behavior. He said I couldn’t bring the kids in anymore and work them out. And I asked if I could work them out and he said ‘no’,” Sandusky said.

When asked about his attraction to young boys, Sandusky said he couldn’t deny it, but not without an interruption from his lawyer.

“I was sitting there saying to myself, ‘what in the world is this question?’ if I say ‘no, I’m not attracted to boys – that’s not the truth because I’m attracted to young people..boys, girls..I enjoy spending time with people,” Sandusky said.

The New York Times is also reporting that Sandusky said Joe Paterno never approached him about any suspected misconduct with kids in 1998 or 2002.
