Sale Dates Announced for 2016 Penn State Student Football Tickets

Mark you calendars, set your alarms, and then set a few more alarms — Penn State Athletics revealed the dates for the 2016 football student section ticket sales. The dates, as per usual, fall in mid-June and are as follows:

• Graduate Students and Seniors: Monday, June 20
• Juniors: Tuesday, June 21
• Sophomores: Wednesday, June 22
• Freshmen: Thursday, June 23

Your semester classification is determined by what level you would be as of May 30 at 5 p.m., but generally is whatever year you will be this fall. Make sure to double-check you credits and classification though because if you picked up a few extra credits somewhere you could potentially buy earlier than you think. Students from Commonwealth campuses are able to purchase tickets during these time as well.

Ticket sales begin at 7 a.m. and close at 2 p.m. or, more realistically, whenever that grade’s allotment sells out. Tickets typically sell out in minutes so make sure you’re ready to go bright and early. Tickets cost $218 but will get you access to the student section for all seven games in Beaver Stadium for 2016. You do have to pay the full amount and get the season tickets though, i.e. you can’t buy single-game or select tickets.
