At this time, students are able to go online and register for the chance to purchase tickets to the 2007 Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day in Tampa, FL. The lottery closes on Friday, Dec. 1, at 5:00 p.m.
In past years, students were required to wait in line for a wristband in order to be part of the lottery to purchase tickets. This year, the bowl ticket sales are being carried out entirely online.
1,100 student tickets will be sold at $60 a piece, and each student ID will be able to purchase two tickets. If the allotment of student tickets is spoken for before the offering concludes Friday afternoon, a lottery system will be used to determine the distribution of tickets.
The system is the same one used this season for student tickets to away football games. Students will be notified of their ticket status no later than 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3. Ticket pick-up commences on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.
For non-students, the ticket process is slightly different. Nittany Lion Club members are currently able to request tickets online, and tickets are awarded and assigned according to Nittany Lion Club Points Totals, not on a first-come, first-serve basis. The ticket request window for Nittany Lion Club members ends Nov. 30. Phone requests will also be accepted Tuesday through Thursday of this week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by calling 1-800-833-5533.
If tickets remain after the Nittany Lion Club sales, non-Nittany Lion Club season ticketholders will get a chance to purchase tickets.
This batch of requests will be notified of their status on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
If tickets remain after Nittany Lion Club members and season ticket holders have had the opportunity to purchase them, they will go on sale to the general public. The athletic office will announce the status of the possibility of public sales on Dec. 6.
