Police: Intruders Trespass in Beaver Ave. Apartment; Sexual Assault Reported

Two men intruded early Saturday in a West Beaver Avenue apartment, one of them jumping on a bed where a man and woman were sleeping, State College police said.

It happened about 5:02 a.m. in a fourth-floor apartment at 316 W. Beaver Ave., according to a police report. Police said Kelvin S. Johnson, 22, of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Aaron Grey, 22, of Philadelphia, had been drinking before they trespassed in the apartment.

Once inside, according to the report, Johnson threw himself on the sleeping duo, then stole a vacuum cleaner. He and Grey fled outside the apartment, where the vacuum cleaner was smashed against a wall, police said.

Johnson and Grey returned to the residence, and Johnson tried grind up against the woman who had been sleeping, according to the police report.

The men were arrested and arraigned Saturday before District Judge Allen Sinclair. Johnson is charged with burglary, harassment and trespassing; Grey, with trespassing. They will next face a preliminary hearing.

Also Saturday, in a separate matter, police said a sexual assault was reported to borough authorities at 5:21 p.m. Friday. No additional details were immediately released.
