A ‘Rally in the Valley’ football pep rally is set for about 7:45 p.m. Friday at Rec Hall, Penn State announced Monday.
The Blue and White Society and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics will host the rally, organized to energize fans before the football game against Michigan on Saturday night at Beaver Stadium.
‘Rally in the Valley’ will start right after the Penn State women’s volleyball match, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, the university reported. ‘The first 5,500 fans who either remain at the volleyball match or arrive at Rec Hall will be admitted,’ a news release reads.
Coach Joe Paterno, the Penn State football team, the university cheerleaders, the Lionettes, the Blue Band and the Nittany Lion all will be on hand. A free T-shirt giveaway is planned, too, according to Penn State.
The Michigan game is set to kick off at 8 p.m. Saturday.
