Construction of the Pegula Ice Arena is on schedule, Penn State communications coordinator Paul Ruskin said Monday.
The Pegula Ice Arena is a 6,000 seat multi-purpose arena on Penn State’s campus. Construction began in early February on the $89 million arena, which is located on the corner of Curtin Road and University Drive.
Penn State’s Board of Trustees approved the final design of the arena at its Jan. 20 board meeting.
The new ice arena will house both the men’s and women’s ice hockey teams starting in the 2013-2014 seasons.
