Election 2010: Even though the most recent count of votes shows Rep. Scott Conklin in the lead for the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor, his opponent has not yet conceded. The lead is small enough that a recount is likely.
CVS Plans: The construction of a CVS at the current Ponderosa site is postponed indefinitely after a zoning hearing board declared the work would be too close to Slab Cabin Run. CVS will need to scale down its plan if it would like to begin construction there.
Lady Lions Basketball: Penn State women’s basketball coach Coquese Washington has signed a two-year contract extension to coach the Lady Lions through the 2013-14 season, Director of Athletics Tim Curley announced yesterday. In keeping with the University policy, specific terms of the agreement were not released.
