A new yoga center in downtown State College will host a grand opening celebration on Sunday afternoon.
The Bhakti Yoga Center, 322B E. College Ave., will welcome community members from 4 to 6:30 p.m. for the event, which will include information about its services, a brief yoga session, guided meditation, a musical performance and prizes.
The celebration will conclude with a vegan dinner.
Envisioned “as an oasis for personal self-development and wellness,” the center is a nonprofit facility primarily run by volunteers, according to a news release.
Through the end of the year, Bhakti Yoga Center is offering free weekly community yoga classes.
The center’s classes include Hatha, Astanga and Bhakti yoga, TriYoga and Kirtan meditation. It also offers Ayurveda health coaching, aromatherapy, natural healing, wellness workshops, lifestyle engineering and yoga wisdom classes.
