Mount Nittany Medical Center has a new visitor check-in policy intended “to enhance security and safety,” according to Mount Nittany Health.
Beginning Tuesday, visitors age 16 and older must check in, show identification and register at all public entrances upon arrival at the College Township hospital.
Visitors are encouraged to allow extra time for the check-in process.
“This policy change is designed to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff,” Mount Nittany Health wrote in a news release. “Mount Nittany Health appreciates the community’s cooperation and patience as this new procedure is implemented.”
