It’s the one of those competitions where every single contestant is truly a winner.

Cute kids all dressed up and flashing their smiles while braving a giant stage Wednesday afternoon made them all automatic winners in the 2014 Grange Fair Toddler King and Queen Contest.

For Stephenie and Justin Grove of Bellefonte, parents of the 2014 toddler king Braydyn, the experience is a family tradition. Years ago, Justin Grove’s father was named toddler king at the fair. Now, their 3-year-old son holds the title.

“It’s just a family thing,” says Stephenie Grove, who admits she was surprised by the results.

The experience is also a family tradition for Kennette and Mike Watson of Centre Hall, parents of the 2014 toddler queen Tessa. Mike Watson’s family comes to the fair each year and his wife says he wanted to see his first little girl in the contest.

“She has been talking about wearing her dress for almost a year now,” says Kennette Watson. “I am so surprised and happy for this little girl.”

The 140th annual Grange Fair ends Thursday. Check out the schedule HERE.
