The Centre Area Transportation Authority will operate fare-free Thursday in memory of Joe Paterno, Penn State announced.
The free service will also provide alternative transportation for anyone traveling to University Park on Thursday for Paterno’s memorial service at the Bryce Jordan Center.
In addition, at 2 p.m. Thursday, all buses will pull to the side of a road at a safe location and stop for one minute in a moment of silence for Paterno, who died Sunday at age 85.
