State College, Pa. — There is an on-going investigation into the authenticity of autographs signed by Joe Paterno.
6 News reporter Gary Sinderson has confirmed that footballs and other merchandise were being sold on e-Bay, but investigators suspect those items were not signed by the late football coach.
Late this afternoon Paterno’s son, Scott Paterno, posted this on his twitter account: “It has been brought to my attention that there are a number of fake JVP autographs on e-Bay. It’s being addressed, but please use caution.”
