If you ventured downtown on Saturday you knew it had to be State Patty’s Day. Green clad revelers were everywhere. A town and gown alliance resulted in the closing of many State College Bars and State Stores also took the day off. Despite the anti-alcohol drive we saw one obviously inebriated young man stumble off the sidewalk and into the street at 2:30 Saturday afternoon. But students at one house party tell StateCollege.com they’re working hard to be responsible and to not cause trouble. Has closing the bars and state stores made a difference?
