The Hallo-Wine 5k will give wine-lovers, Halloween fanatics, and running enthusiasts a chance to combine their hobbies and give back to the community.
Hosted by running company Left Right Repeat, the race will have runners competing in a 5k around Mt. Nittany Winery, stopping three times for wine samples. All the money raised will be donated to Centre County PAWS.
Fulfilling the other half of its name, the race will be the day before Halloween, starting at 10 a.m. on Oct. 30. Registration costs $45, and is open to those 21 and older. While the race is un-timed, the first male and female finishers win custom wine baskets, and other prizes will be awarded for having the best costume for a variety of categories.
The race is restricted to the first 250 participants, and you can pick up registration is available at Anthym Running Store, or here.
For wine lovers, the race will feature Tailgate Red, Bergwein, and Spiced Apple wines at its three stops. Participants also get a long sleeve shirt, a wine glass, and a goody bag with their registration fees.
