Penn State’s men’s hockey coach Guy Gadowsky is joining the coaches caravan tour. He’ll appear at both May 9 stops; the Penn State-DuBois campus and in Pittsburgh.
The luncheon in DuBois will begin at 11:30 a.m. The reception in Pittsburgh begins at 6 p.m. It’s the final day of the six-day, 12-stop caravan tour featuring several of Penn State’s marquee coaches. The caravan begins April 30. Penn State football head coach Bill O’Brien will headline every stop on the tour. Joining Gadowsky and O’Brien at the May 9 events will be men’s volleyball coach Mark Pavlik.
Gadowsky will enter his third season at Penn State and second season at the Division I level this fall. The Nittany Lions posted a 13-14-0 record in their first season of Division I play that included wins over No. 16 ranked Wisconsin and fellow Big Ten foes Ohio State and Michigan State.
The puck will drop in Penn State’s $90 million hockey facility Friday, Oct. 11 when the Nittany Lions’ men’s hockey team opens the 2013-14 season against the Army Black Knights.
Jointly sponsored by the Penn State Alumni Association and the Nittany Lion Club, Coaches Caravan registration is underway at www.alumni.psu.edu/coachescaravan and www.GoPSUsports.com. More than 3,000 Penn State alumni and fans have signed up for Caravan stops. Advance registration is required for all Coaches Caravan events.
