Light rain and snow fell on downtown State College early Saturday evening, but that didn’t dampen the festive spirit of thousands who took part in First Night State College.
The annual family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration hosted activities, art and entertainment throughout the day and into the night, with dozens of musical acts, performers, ice skating and the nearly 100 ice sculptures freshly carved for First Night.
