Corbett speaks out about Sandusky investigation, Paterno’s retirement

Governor Tom Corbett spoke out for the first time since the Jerry Sandusky child sex scandal broke. Speaking Wednesday morning, the governor said that is unfortunate that Paterno’s retirement has “taken place under the cloud that is going on at the moment.”

 “It’s a sad day. It has been a sad number of days for Penn State. It’s sad that it’s taking place this way, but the board of trustees still has work to do,” said Corbett.

 Corbett went to say that “he is disappointed to the lack of action on Penn State’s part. He said that if he saw Sandusky’s alleged abuse of children, he would have acted right away.”
