Centre LifeLink Maintains Prestigious Accreditation

Centre LifeLink EMS, the leading emergency-medical-services agency in the State College area, has been re-accredited for a fourth consecutive three-year term by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services, the agency announced.

LifeLink is one of six accredited ambulance groups in Pennsylvania, according to a news release. It achieved the accreditation for ‘compliance with national standards of excellence,’ the release reads.

‘Our staff has been key to our successful completion of the (accreditation) process,’ Centre LifeLink Executive Director Scott Rawson said in the release. ‘I think it gives the feeling of prestige and pride to work in an accredited ambulance service. Everyone here plays a valuable role in our ability to continuously meet the commission’s high standards.’

The commission, a nonprofit organization, encourages and promotes high-quality patient care. To that end, it establishes and maintains national standards for patient care and ambulance operations.

Those standards often exceed state or local licensing requirements, according to the news release.
