CATA Providing Extended Blue Loop Service Through Arts Fest

CATA is extending hours of its Blue Loop service through Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, from Wednesday through Sunday.

The Blue Loop bus provides fare-free and continuous, fully-accessible transportation between the perimeter parking areas near Beaver Stadium (Stadium West and Jordan East lots) and the Festival activities in Downtown State College.

Stops along the route include two at the stadium parking locations and two downtown along College Avenue, which is near the Festival, as well as at the Pattee Library, the Pavilion Theater, and near the McCoy Natatorium on Campus.

The special hours and frequencies are as follows: 

Wednesday:

• 4:45 – 7:30 a.m. – Every 20 minutes
• 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. – Every 8 minutes
• 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Every 8 minutes
• 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – Every 11 minutes
• 10:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. – No service
  

Thursday and Friday:

• 4:45 – 7:30 a.m. – Every 20 minutes
• 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. – Every 5 minutes
• 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Every 5 minutes
• 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – Every 8 minutes
• 10:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. – Every 11 minutes

Saturday:

• 4:45 – 7:30 a.m. – No service
