An attempted strong-arm robbery was reported late Sunday in State College, borough police said.
A woman told police that a thin, white man approached her and demanded money about 9:30 p.m. on the 100 block of West Calder Way.
When she refused, according to her report, the man shoved her and ran east on Calder Way.
An investigation was ongoing Monday. The woman made the police report at 11:03 p.m. Sunday. She said the would-be robber was wearing a blue, hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
Also Monday, police said a potential sexual assault was reported shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday on the 600 block of East College Avenue. Little information was immediately released to the news media; an investigation is ongoing.
