One of the most popular events of THON weekend, the annual pep rally once again did not disappoint on Saturday night in the Bryce Jordan Center.
With this year’s theme being Disney, each Penn State sports team participating had to incorporate a Disney song into its performance.
Men’s gymnastics came out the winner. Always acrobatic with its performances, the team incorporated songs from Mulan and High School Musical, along with other songs in its dazzling effort.
The men’s soccer and women’s volleyball teams were the other finalists. The football team’s performance drew huge cheers, combining Star Wars and Frozen, with defensive tackle Antonio Shelton playing the role of Elsa.
Judges included Mike ‘The Mailman’ Herr, drum major Jimmy Frisbee, Blue Sapphire Rachel Reiss, and Four Diamonds children.
Penn State men’s basketball coach Pat Chambers and Penn State football community relations director P.J. Mullen.
