An up-and-coming, Grammy-nominated rapper is bringing his next tour to the Bryce Jordan Center this spring.
The Kid Laroi’s “Bleed For You” tour will stop at Penn State’s premier arena for a concert on Monday, March 27, as announced on Tuesday. The performance will mark the Australia native’s first visit to Happy Valley.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. ahead of the 8 p.m. concert. Singer-songwriter Jeremy Zucker will open for The Kid Laroi.
General public tickets are on sale starting at noon on Friday, Feb. 3, through Ticketmaster. Prices range from $33 to 53, according to the Bryce Jordan Center’s website. Penn State students are eligible for up to $20 off select tickets through their own presale starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
The “Bleed for You” tour will visit nearly 20 cities across the country, including several Big Ten towns like Madison, Wisconsin, and Champaign, Illinois. The tour, which begins with a stop in Syracuse, New York, on March 22, will also spend a week at the Coachella music festival in mid-April. March’s concert in State College marks The Kid Laroi’s only upcoming performance in Pennsylvania.
The Kid Laroi, born Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, released his debut mixtape, “F*ck Love,” in 2020 and quickly reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. His debut studio album, “The First Time,” is expected to release in 2023.
Outside of his solo work, the 19-year-old rapper is likely best known for his collaboration with Justin Bieber on their 2021 smash-hit single, “Stay,” which has amassed nearly 2.5 billion hits on Spotify alone. The Kid Laroi received critical acclaim from the Grammy Awards that year when he was nominated for Best New Artist and, through a collaboration with Bieber’s 2021 record, “Justice,” Album of the Year.
Following Monday’s tour announcement, The Kid LAROI joins a packed slate of upcoming Bryce Jordan Center concerts, including 2023 shows by Carrie Underwood, Bruce Springsteen, Journey, Thomas Rhett, Kenny Chesney, Casting Crowns, Walker Hayes and Shinedown.
