2025 Primary Election Results: Centre County Councils and Boards of Supervisors

, ,

Voters in Centre County townships and boroughs cast ballots in Tuesday’s primary election for Democratic and Republican nominees for councils and boards of supervisors.

For most races, there was little in doubt from the start, with most uncontested, and in some cases no candidate on the ballot at all. That included five of the six boards and councils in the Centre Region.

The lone exception in the Centre Region was Halfmoon Township, where the Republican race for supervisor had four candidates vying for two nominations. Elsewhere in Centre County, the Republican races for Benner, Howard, Marion, Spring and Walker townships and Milesburg Borough mayor were also contested.

In races where no candidate or fewer than the number of open positions were on the ballot, write-in votes may still determine nominees. To win a nomination for councils or boards, a write-in candidate most have at least 10 votes and have the highest vote total.

Here’s a look at the results from contested races in Centre County, followed by vote totals in uncontested Centre Region elections. As of 11 p.m. on Tuesday, all 87 precincts in the county were partially reported. Results are unofficial until completed and certified.
