The Starseed Festival will bring together mental and physical health practitioners, artists and crafters, and a little mystical fun on Friday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct. 25, at Boal Hall in Boalsburg

Billed as “a divine metaphysical expo for the cosmos,” the event is focused on holistic wellness, which includes mental, emotional, physical and spiritual components, said organizer Amaris Starseed.

Starseed is expecting approximately 26 vendors ranging from chiropractors and mental health professionals to tarot card readers and reiki healers to makers of ointments and lotions to sellers of products like books, candles and crystals. Vendors will be set up both indoors and outdoors, and food will be available for purchase during the festival.

Demonstrations and classes will take place throughout the event.

Starseed is also partnering with Centre Helps for the expo to raise awareness about suicide prevention and crisis intervention.

This will be the fourth Starseed Festival; a summer and a winter event were held at Boal Hall in 2023. Last year, the expo was held in the spring at Titan Hollow in Bellefonte, and Starseed said it nearly quadrupled in size from the first festival, attracting 450 attendees.

She is expecting it to be even larger this year as it returns to its place of origin, and said she plans to hold the event annually in October in the future.

The festival is open to all ages and all faiths and is “LGBTQ+ safe,” Starseed said.

“We welcome all and respect all that come. We are a warm, welcoming community,” she said. “I would hope that people that come have an open heart and open mind and find something new that they can use to help them in their journey.”

Starseed herself is a local psychic practitioner and an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church. As the sole organizer and host of The Starseed Festival, she will not be providing her services at this event, but she regularly offers tarot and aura readings at Shaky Hands Coffee in Bellefonte, and at Manny’s Performance Space and Webster’s Bookstore Café in State College.

The Starseed Festival will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 24, and from noon to 9 p.m. on Oct. 25 at Boal Hall, 113 E. Pine St. in Boalsburg. Admission is free, with donations accepted at the door.
