Pop Up Ave, the semiannual maker and vintage market, is back for another round this weekend in downtown State College.
The fall edition of the outdoor pop-up event will be held 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday on the 200 block of South Allen Street.
Featuring a curated selection of 42 vendors, the market will welcome past favorites and first-timers offering everything from vintage items to jewelry to handmade ceramics.
“We’re excited to see the Happy Valley community out and about to enjoy the buzz of students back, the fall weather and the talented vendors that will be at Pop Up Ave,” Brad Groznik, co-founder of the event, said. “Happy Valley is home to some of the best makers and creators, so showing them off is pretty easy.”
Among the returning vendors are Go State Designs, Molly Au Contraire, and Ataraxiaowl Creative Mandalas & Florals. Newcomers to the pop-up market will include BurnSesh Hot Sauce, Champagne on a Wednesday and Memories at a Touch.

Food and beverage vendors are slated to include Super Duper Café, The Cakeshop by Tati and Idou Coffee Co., while a beer garden will feature Antifragile Brewing Company and Boal City Brewing. DJs also will be spinning music throughout the day from the Bill Welch Plaza at the State College Municipal Building.
Saturday’s event will be Pop Up Ave’s second on South Allen Street. After previously being held for years at the Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza on South Fraser Street, the market moved for its last event in the spring.
South Fraser Street will still be lively on Saturday, though, as it hosts the fifth annual Happy Valley Latin Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., part of a busy weekend around the State College area.
