A curated outdoor maker and vintage market is returning to downtown State College after a three-year hiatus.
Pop Up Ave will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, on the 100 block of South Fraser Street, with vendors, food, music and a beer garden.
“We are so thrilled to be back after our hiatus,” Pop Up Ave co-founder Brad Groznik said. “Anyone looking for something unique and fun to do will find it at Pop Up Ave. We are ready to see the town popping for a community event like this.”
The event was held regularly between 2016 and 2019, but was canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It makes its return this year with approximately 40 vendors from across Pennsylvania offering a variety of products such as vintage clothing, ceramics, stationery and candles.
Music throughout the day will performances by include Home Planet, DJ Gingerman and timmytats, the Sure Shots and DJ Elbow Knee Knee.
Elk Creek Cafe + Aleworks will host a beer garden, and food will be available from Inside Out Cookie and Super Duper Café.
Pop Up Ave will be part of a busy Sept. 30 in downtown State College. The Downtown State Improvement District’s Fall Fest will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the 200 block of South Allen Street, and the Community Diversity’s Group’s Multicultural Unity Fair will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the Municipal Building.
