Football returns to Beaver Stadium this weekend after a winter hiatus with Penn State’s annual Blue-White Game.
The intrasquad scrimmage, which marks a culmination of the Nittany Lions’ spring practices, kicks off at 2 p.m. and admission is free.
But football isn’t the only draw during one of Penn State’s busiest weekends of the spring semester. Here’s a look at what else is happening and what you need to know.
PARKING AND TRAFFIC
Beaver Stadium lots will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Game day traffic patterns will be in effect, with one-way patterns starting at 11:30 a.m. See the parking map to know your route ahead of time.
If you had a 2023 season parking pass, you have one for the Blue-White Game available now in the Penn State Account Manager.
If you didn’t, mobile parking passes are available for $20 in advance. Those arriving without a pass will pay $20 per regular vehicle, $60 per RV and $60 per bus, with cash or card sales accepted at the parking lots.
Fans can purchase RV parking in the ORV lot. Those who arrive at the ORV lot on Friday without an ORV pass must pay $100 for RV two-night parking.
ADA parking is reserved in the Shields, Wagner and Katz parking lots and a shuttle service will be provided.
BEAVER STADIUM BLOCK PARTY
The Beaver Stadium Block Party will take place on Curtin Road between University Drive and Porter Road from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event rides, such as a ferris wheel and giant slide, free inflatables, face painting, caricature drawings carnival games (cash only), food vendors (cash and credit card) and live music (Adam and the Armadillos from 10-11:30 a.m. and Velveeta from 4:30-6 p.m.).
The football team will arrive at the south tunnel entrance on Curtin Road at 11:40 a.m.
APPAREL AND EQUIPMENT SALE
The Blue-White Apparel and Equipment Sale, which will include team-issued apparel and equipment, is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or while supplies last, at Pegula Ice Arena. Entry is through Gate A.
Lion Surplus coordinates the sale, which will accept cash, checks and credit cards.
Parking is available in the East Deck at a rate of $1 an hour for the first two hours and a flat daily rate of $20 thereafter.

Five other Nittany Lions sports teams will be in action at home this weekend. Admission is free for each event.

BEAVER STADIUM RUN
The 15th annual Paterno Family Beaver Stadium Run benefiting Special Olympics Pennsylvania is set for Sunday.
Race day registration will open at 7:30 a.m. at Medlar Field. The 5k run begins at 11 a.m. near the Bryce Jordan Center, followed by the 2-mile family walk at approximately 11:10 a.m. The race course closes at noon, and awards are presented at 12:15 p.m. in the stadium.
More than 3,500 people are expected to participate in the run/walk, which travels through campus before finishing on the 50-yard line at the stadium.
AROUND CAMPUS AND TOWN
• Penn State Centre Stage presents “Bernarda Alba,” with with words and music by Michael John LaChiusa, and directed and choreographed by Christopher Campbell, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Penn State Downtown Theatre, 146 S. Allen St. Tickets are $20, or $15 for students.
• Revered guitarist Leo Kottke performs at 8 p.m. Thursday at The State Theatre, 130 W. College Ave. Tickets are $46 in advance, $51 day of show.
• The Next Stage Theatre Company presents John Patrick Shanley’s “Outside Mullingar” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday in The Attic at The State Theatre. Tickets are $28.
• Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn, “the king and queen of the banjo,” perform at 8 p.m. Friday at The State Theatre. Limited overflow tickets are available.
• Taste of India 2024, hosted by the Association for India’s Development at Penn State, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Mount Nittany Middle School, 656 Brandywine Drive. The festival celebrates Indian cuisine with a cultural extravaganza and culinary journey that contributes to AID at Penn State’s mission of empowering communities through volunteer work and grassroots-level development projects. Tickets, which must be purchased in advance are $12 for children ages 5 to 12, $20 for students and $25.
• “The Price Is Right Live” stage show stops at the Bryce Jordan Center at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
