Centre Region Parks and Rec Hosts 2025 Halloween Parade in State College

Centre Region Parks and Recreation hosted its 77th annual Halloween Costume Parade on Wednesday evening, stepping off at 7 p.m. on South Fraser Street in State College

Kids and grownups in their best costumes gathered with families and friends as the community celebrated the holiday. The procession made its way to Memorial Field, where judges evaluated entries in five fun categories: Cutest, Superheroes, Witches and Monsters, Most Unique, and Groups. The celebration wrapped up with candy, cash prizes and plenty of smiles, thanks to the generosity of the State College Lions Foundation.

Last-minute glitter, hairspray and laughter filled the air as participants prepped for the parade.

With the parade banner leading the way, little ghosts and superheroes kicked off the night’s festivities.

Brass, drums and cheers set the tone as the State High band led the way.

Music, motion and school spirit filled the field as the band played, twirlers dazzled and cheerleaders energized the crowd.
