Burning Ma’aM Festival Returns for 5th Year With 2 Days of Music

A Centre County band’s growing annual festival is back for its fifth year this weekend with two days of live music.

Burning Ma’aM, a campout music festival hosted by State College-based band Ma’aM will be held Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24, at Winkelblech Fields, 1104 Pine Creek Road in Woodward.

This year’s festival promises to be the biggest yet, featuring 19 bands, along with food, beverage and vintage vendors.

Fresh off the release of their second full-length album, “Out the Window” (available on all streaming services, Bandcamp and on LP), Ma’aM will headline the second night of the festival.

Gates open at 2 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.

Single- and two-day tickets and camping passes, as well as group packages, are available for purchase online.

A portion of the sales from Burning Ma’aM 2025 tickets will go to Centre LGBT+ to support its mission is of providing resources and support for LGBT+ community members in Centre County.

“Our festival aims to celebrate and uplift musicians, artists and the arts, fostering a sense of community, creativity and joy,” according to the band. “Our mission goes beyond entertainment; we are committed to supporting our local community by partnering with and providing financial assistance to area nonprofits.”
