The Penn State Alumni Association elected 10 university alumni to serve three-year terms on its Alumni Council, the governing board of the Alumni Association itself. The Alumni Council advises the Alumni Association on programs and initiatives to fulfill its mission.

The Penn State Outing Club, Nittany Grotto Caving Club, and the SCUBA Club will no longer be recognized by the university after a Campus Recreation review deemed that the trio of on-campus organizations’ activities posed an unacceptable amount of risk to its student members.

Tuesday marked the first day that polls are open in the Penn State graduate student unionization vote after the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board (PLRB) declared in February that the university’s graduate students on assistantships and traineeships have union rights.

Dates are officially set for mid-April across the commonwealth for Penn State graduate students on assistantships and traineeships to vote on unionizing.
