BELLEFONTE — Work by Courtney Morris will be exhibited in the Photography Gallery of the Bellefonte Art Museum for Centre County for the remainder of March.
“Soil” is a performance photography series that examines the history of labor migration from the Caribbean and Morris’ family’s migration from the 1950s through the 1970s. The exhibit is the first public showing of the work. Morris is an assistant professor of African-American studies and women, gender and sexuality studies at Penn State.
The gallery, at 133 N. Allegheny St. in Bellefonte, is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4:30 p.m., or by appointment.
